Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, Air Philippines, Seair and Asian Spirit offer air transport daily to several cities and towns.  On the other hand, various inter-island ships connect Manila to major ports in country.  WG&A SuperFerry, and Negros Navigation are recognized as the major shipping companies.  By land, several bus lines provide transport services to different provinces and cities.  Metered taxis are widely available.  Jeepneys are considered the most inexpensive form of transportation.  The Metro Rail Transit (MRT) and Light Rail Transit (LRT) are also popular, fast and affordable forms of transportation within Metro Manila.  In places not frequented by jeepneys and taxis, tricycles are available most of the time.
