Masskara Festival
October 19; Bacolod City, Negros Occidental

Brightly colored costumes and smiling masks are worn on this day, and street dancing extends well into the night.  Masskara was coined from the word "mass" and from the Spanish word "cara" -- to mean many faces.  This festival showcases the happy spirit of Negrenses.  It was conceived in October to celebrate Bacolod City's Charter Day.
