Manila
The capital of the Philippines; the place for modern and traditional Filipinos. One of the busiest places in the country,
full of universities and schools, hospitals, hotels, restaurants, and other business establishments. It is where you can
find the Malacañang Palace, the official residence of the current President of the Philippines. One of the historical
place in Manila is the Intramuros, former known as the "walled city" during the Spanish regime.  Although this place is
still bounded by its walls, nowadays, it is widely open for the Filipinos and tourists, since it is now the residence of
some colleges and other business establishments. But there, still exists the historical churches: San Agustin Church,
the oldest standing church in the Philipines (1605) and the Manila Cathedral. Inside Intramuros is the Fort Santiago,
where the National Hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, was detained before his execution at the Bagumbayan (known as Luneta
nowadays). Luneta is also located at the heart of Manila. Golfers can also find haven in the city's golf-courses.

Part of the highlights in this city is the Manila Bay and the newly-refurbished 'baywalk' and breakwaters, where you
can opt among the diverse restaurants and bars to wine and dine and indulge with the soothing acoustic rhythms. You
can also find the "Floating Restaurant" to better enjoy the Manila Bay ambiance. If partying is your treat, you can
check out the hottest night spot in the country, the Malate area. Situated here are many bars and clubs that offer
different types of entertainment and music.

Looking for a place to rest and spend the evening after a very tiring evening? Manila Hotel awaits you. If you want to
have better view of the Manila Bay and the city, there are a lot more hotels to choose from.
